Welcome to Lizzy’s Schoolhouse!

Where personalized learning, creativity, and flexibility come together to empower children and support families.
Since 2001, founder Elizabeth “Lizzy” Malone has been dedicated to redefining education in the San Fernando Valley—her hometown and the heart of her mission. A retired kindergarten teacher with over two decades of experience, Lizzy brings a hands-on, heartfelt approach that nurtures curiosity, confidence, and community.
She continues to lead with the same warmth that has made her schoolhouse a second home for so many families. As a mother of five and grandma to one grandchild, Lizzy understands the joys and challenges of raising children and the need for a supportive learning environment.
Born and raised in the Valley (yes, a true Valley Girl!)Lizzy's deep community roots and creative teaching style have helped hundreds of children—and their parents—feel welcomed, supported, and inspired.

Our Mission
At Lizzy’s Schoolhouse, our mission is to cultivate a love of learning by meeting students where they are, celebrating their strengths, and helping them grow through a well-rounded, flexible, and engaging educational experience.

Our Philosophy & Program
We believe children learn best when they feel safe, seen, and supported. Our programs foster small-group learning, individualized instruction, and hands-on, project-based exploration. We promote kindness, collaboration, and leadership while offering flexible, learning-based options that support both homeschool and traditional learners.
Whether your child participates in group learning, afternoon enrichment, or themed educational workshops, they will be part of a warm and welcoming schoolhouse that values meaningful, structured learning experiences.

We’re so happy you’re here. Thank you for choosing Lizzy’s Schoolhouse—we’re honored to be part of your child’s journey and excited to grow together this season.

With warmth and gratitude,
Lizzy Malone
